The World’s Largest Brick Fortress/ La fortaleza de ladrillo más grande del mundo

Located in the Northern Poland, the Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork  impresses with its fascinating history and incredible architecture. It was originally constructed in 13-thcentury by the Teutonic Knights (German Catholic religious order of crusaders) to strenght their control after the conquest of Old Prussia. The famous gothic castle consists of a High Castle, Middle Castle and Low Castle, surrounded by three defensive walls and moats and is considered to be the largest brick fortress in the world measured by land area. Since the year 1997 Malbork Castle is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Situado en el norte de Polonia, el Castillo de la Orden de los Caballeros Teutónicos, impresiona con su fascinante historia e arquitectura increíble. Fue construido originalmente en el siglo XIII por los Caballeros Teutónicos (orden alemán de carácter religioso-militar) para reforzarse el control después de la conquista de Prusia. El famoso castillo gótico está formado por tres castillos, rodeados de tres potentes murallas y fosos. Se le considera el castillo de ladrillo de estilo gótico más grande del mundo por superficie de área. El Castillo de Malbork fue declarado por la UNESCO Patrimonio de la Humanidad en el año 1997.

Independence Day of Poland / Día de la Independencia de Polonia

One of the most important days for Poles during the year is November 11th - the anniversary of the Poland’s National Independence. The 11th of November 2019, Józef Pilsudski, Chief of State,  formed a new government in Warsaw and called to parliamentary elections. Poland reclaimed its Independence after 123 years of partitions by Prussia, Russia and Austro-Hungarian Empire. We wish all Polish people to celebrate their Independence with proud and mutual respect! Happy Independent Day!

Uno de los días más importantes para polacos durante el año es el día 11 de Noviembre - aniversario de la Independencia de Polonia. El día 11 de noviembre de 1918, Józef Piłsudski, jefe de Estado polaco empezó a formar un nuevo gobierno  en Varsovia y llamó a elecciones del parlamento. Polonia volvió a recuperar su independencia  después de 123 años de ocupación por Prusia, Rusia e Austria-Hungría. ¡Que toda la gente polaca celebre su Independencia con orgullo y respeto mutuo! ¡Feliz Día de la Independencia!

Krakow- the best city break destination! / Cracovia- la mejor ciudad para un city break!

In an annual ,,Which?” survey Krakow was rated as the best city in Europe for a short break for third year in the row. The Polish city received an overall score of 93 per cent as a result of 4 704 responses of respondents, who rated 43 European cities they had visited. They voted in the following categories: quality of the cultural attractions, accommodation, shopping, food, and value for money. Krakow was the only destination rated with five-stars in value for money category. The former polish capital also received a high, five-star rating for excellent food, very good accommodation and quality of the cultural attractions. Cracovia ha sido calificada por tercer año siguiente como la mejor ciudad en Europa para un city break según la encuesta anual de ,,Which?”. Los 4 704 encuestados han evaluado 43 ciudades europeas que ya visitaron, la ciudad polaca recibió el resultado de 93 por cientos. Han votado en las siguientes categorías: calidad de las atracciones culturales, alojamiento, compras, gastronomía y relación calidad-precio. Cracovia es la única ciudad calificada con cinco estrellas en la  relación calidad-precio. La antigua capital polaca ha recibido también cinco estrellas por su comida, muy buen alojamiento y la calidad de las atracciones culturales.
