Masuria – the Land of a Thousand Lakes/ Masuria - la tierra de los mil lagos

That’s the name of a picturesque region which is located in the northeast part of Poland. The area is known for its lakes (2700) which were created a long time ago, during the last glaciation. Masuria is characterized by its complicated history - was part of the state of the Teutonic Knights, Prussia and Germany. It is reflected in the local architecture and the wealth of monuments. It’s the part of Poland famous of the pure nature, green forests and numerous lakes. A perfect place por any fan of sailling or canoeing, fishing, walking tours, cycling.

Así se llama un región pintoresco que esta al noreste de Polonia. Es conocido por más de 2700 lagos que fueron formados hace mucho tiempo durante la última glaciación. Masuria se caracteriza por su historia complicada - fue parte del Estado de los Caballeros Teutónicos, del Prusia y de Alemania. Todo esto se refleja en la arquitectura de región y en la riqueza de sus monumentos históricos. Es la parte de Polonia conocida por su naturaleza pura, sus bosques verdes y numerosos lagos. Un lugar perfecto para todos los fans de vela o piragüismo, pescadores, senderistas y ciclistas.
