Success of the congress of British journalists

80 TV journalists, newspaper men, bloggers and photographers working in tourism sector from Great Britain participated in the annual congress organized by the The British Guild of Travel Writers. This year the meeting took place in Zakopane, Poland.

The journalists, invited by Polish Tourism Organisation spent in Poland 8 busy days. The sightseeing programme included: Kasprowy Wierch (one of the most popular mountains in Tatra among tourists, on Polish – Slovak border; it’s possible to get there by cable car), ski jump hill Wielka Krokiew and beautifull wooden Jaszczurówka chapel in Zakopane, the Old Town and Kazimierz (the former Jewish district) in Krakow with the most famous museums (the Schindler’s Factory, the Market Square Underground Exhibition) as well as the most interesting places of the Region – the Salt Mine in Wieliczka (the journalists took part in the new Miners’ Route expedition) and Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. John Bell, one of the participants said: “thanks to 120 flights a week, we all have already visited many cities and interesting places in Poland and we thought we knew a lot of the country. But what we saw this week make us believe it is not true. We want to come back here and get to know more of Poland […]!”
